Reds' dominance delights Moyes

Quote:
David Moyes was pleased with a third consecutive away win in the Barclays Premier League after Wayne Rooney inspired a 2-0 victory over West Ham at Upton park.

United produced yet another commanding and confident display on the road to see off Sam Allardyce's Hammers side. However, Moyes did feel that a bigger winning margin would have been more reflective of the Reds’ dominance over the course of the 90 minutes.

Reflecting on the overall result, Moyes said: "I thought we played very well. The disappointing thing is that we didn't take more of the chances we created in the first half. I think Shinji [Kagawa] had a chance, Juan [Mata] had a chance and [Marouane] Fellaini could probably have scored with a header early on. I was a little bit worried when we missed those opportunities as to how it was going to be, but we thoroughly deserved the win."

Injuries and suspension forced the manager into several alterations to his team that earned a morale-boosting win over Olympiacos in midweek, but the performance of Michael Carrick in central defence also pleased the boss.

"Being an old centre-half myself, I thought he made the job look easy," he added. "I felt like saying to him that it's easy playing centre-half and he was terrific. West Ham had opportunities because they are a handful, but between him [Carrick] and Fellaini I thought they dealt manfully with Andy Carroll."

Moyes is now hoping that this win, coupled with the confidence from the victory over Olympiacos, can help spur his side on to the challenge posed by Manchester City's visit to Old Trafford on Tuesday. "You can never refer this game to the next one but all we want to do is get a bit of momentum and that's something we haven't had an awful lot of," he said. "Hopefully we can go into Tuesday's game showing a bit more confidence. The midweek game helped and today's performance will help as well."

Welbz needs to play Vs City. Tell him to just stay near Demichelis and when Mata has the ball, run in behind him. He will get him sent off soon enough. His running could cause him and even Kompany(who doesn't enjoy those sort of attackers sometimes) some problems.

Bring him back. Would rather have him as a squad player than Ashley Young.

Please tell me you know Malcolm Glazer and he told you he'll be getting sacked. I wish. If he does go then...

Louis Van Gaal
Frank De Boer
Jurgen Klopp
Carlo Ancelotti (depends on how Real's season pans out)
Diego Simeone

Anyone who isn't tactically inept basically.

Quotes from Nani's agent...

Quote:
"Nani is a very important player and at this time the only thing I can say is that he is likely to leave Manchester," Pastorello said.

"The problem for Fiorentina and the other Italian clubs is the player's salary.

"Surely we will evaluate all bids. Our relationship with United is great.

"Fiorentina have to speak with Manchester United about Anderson and maybe it will be an opportunity to talk about Nani too.

It's only just hit how bad things must be with the players. When Danny Welbeck...Danny ****ing Welbeck..Man United personified seems to have had enough then it could be a really messy summer.

The board need to see the obvious. Lose a ton of players, who have won things with this club, or proceed with a loser of a manager.

Following the departure of David Moyes as manager, Manchester United has announced that Ryan Giggs, the club’s most decorated player, will assume responsibility for the first team until a permanent appointment can be made.

The club will make no further comment on this process until Ryan Giggs has finished smashing every bird in Manchester, including Lauren Moyes, whilst celebrating the fact David has departed.

A dream Suggestion...or be it unlikely. Carlo Ancelotti. If Madrid crash out in Europe and finish third in la liga...maybe,just maybe the crazy Madrid board sack him. Would be too ideal almost

Ancelotti is a possibility, tbh. Which is why I sincerely hope the board don't rush things.

Journalists on Twitter saying it's between him and Van Gaal.

Sir Alex Ferguson will be asked to take a prominent role in deciding Manchester United's next manager despite an acknowledgement within the club that he was responsible for choosing the wrong man last time.

Oh ffs. Article, luckily, then goes onto say deliberating between Ancelotti and Van Gaal. Thankfully. Final say will be Woodward's, supported by The Glazers.

Edit: Papers saying Ancelotti is top of the list.

Sir Alex and Ancelotti are supposed buddies. I imagine if it was down to him he would go that way.

So David Moyes gone then. Right call for me, but I think the club acted awful in the way they went about it. Somebody leaking it to the press before he was actually told by the board etc, that is disgraceful.

DM is a nice guy and I do wish him well for the future. United players need to take their fair share of the blame too for our awful season and we need a big clear out and revamp in the Summer.

So Giggsy interim Manager till end of the season with Scholesy and Butt back to help with the coaching.

I wonder who our next permanent Manager will be? Looking likely to be Louis Van Gaal.

David Moyes' statement just was dignified and full of class, but I wouldn't blame him for being angry in the way his departure was handled...

It's a shame it didn't work out for him, but this parting is best for both parties.

The players, however need a big kick up the backside and need to realise it is just as much their fault why we are in this mess.
