http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=86d_1400119863

From the OP:
This was recorded by my husband he was travelling through the fire area with one of his colleagues. He said it was unbelievably hot around the area and it was a near death experience. Im so glad he's having no injuries.

News Report
Officials with the San Diego Fire Department warned residents on Wednesday afternoon that a pair of fires were burning in Scripps Ranch. The first fire was reported on Scripps Ranch Boulevard and Canyon Lake Drive.

Police evacuated people on Canyon Lake Drive near Appaloosa Road, while firefighters worked on structure protection, with one home reportedly just 50 feet away from flames.

Eight fire engines and two helicopters made quick work of the fire between Scripps Ranch Boulevard and Canyon Lake Drive, with 20 firefighters laying down water and foam. The fire started just after 5 p.m. and was out a little over a half-hour later.

Officials said on Wednesday around 6:30 that there was only a single fire, and that there was no incident at the second location on Birch Bluff Place that had earlier been reported.

The fires were in a heavily populated areas in a community that was devastated in 2003 in the Cedar Fire.
