Default Flukes

In my exam on Friday there was a word that I didn't know (шахматы) that came up five different times in the paper, I guessed that it meant chess and it turns out that it does! I was pleased with myself. What's the best flukey thing to happen to you recently? Found a fiver somewhere? Gotten a free lunch?

I just had 9 lessons and practised every day with my parents in between and managed to pass after just 2 months, if I can do it, you can definitely do it!

Good luck Jake... just stay calm, make sure you're constantly checking your mirrors and making it obvious to your examiner that you're being safety conscious!

Ah fair enough, yeah it does cost a lot.. I must have spent near to a grand in lessons thinking about it!

Thanks Greg, that's one of the things that I'm worried about so hopefully that helps me to make sure that I keep on checking!

My head was constantly swivelling as if I had something wrong with me... haha, but it paid off I think! I passed first time. Be especially careful when you're doing the manoeuvre. It's honestly nothing to worry about, just demonstrate that you're safe and try not to do anything reckless! That's all there is to it. You're proving that you're a safe driver. Don't reverse too quickly or do the manoeuvre too quickly if it's a three point turn or a reverse around a corner or something like that, remember to stop for pedestrians/if it's not clear that you can go and you'll be fine!

Thanks for the tips! I really hope I get a reverse - corner.. in my lesson last week my tutor said 'in all my years of instructing, that has got to be..' (at this point I was fearing the worst..) 'the best reverse corner I've seen!'. Was so suprised

! Well done! My manoeuvre was a left reverse around a corner, the instructor picked possibly the easiest street I've ever seen in my life for me to do it on. I think they really wanted me to pass lmao
