I am not a raging Braveheart nationalist, it just seems the lesser of two evils from David Cameron's Britain. I found it bluddy awful that UKIP were even in the frame for a Parliamentary seat.
I distrust Scotland's First Minister a lot - at Uni in the 80s, my flatmate was the organiser of the SNP student body, he'd organise things I'd attend. So I've sat down manys a time with Alex to chew the fat. He is unconvincing. As a socialist, I can only vote for what I believe in. More Dave the rave Cameron is not what I want, but what I will get. I think the independence vote will fail, and I think as a consequence that Scotland fall back to being a backwater where Cameron can impose London-centric thinking upon an essentially socialist country. |

I have little belief in the tartan hoochter-teuchter SNP which is Samond's background and why I used to go to my flatmate's meetings and take the pee out of them. My forward thinking is that IF we could squeek a YES vote, we'd rid ourselves of Cameron then can concentrate on putting sensible peeps in place.

I regard a "NO" vote as being an endorsement of the UK government and I'm sure the Tories will take licence and run riot with it on the backwater of Scotland where they get about 5 votes total anyway. (Remember Thatcher imposing poll tax as a 'fun' experiment)! I was gonna abstain as the SNP are half-baked/clueless but better than Cameron's Britain.
I respect anyone who can't take the final gulp to move from abstain to YES......there are clowns at Holyrood just now Last edited by Claymores; 06-06-2014 at 05:22 PM. |

Why would any scotsperson living in Scotland NOT vote yes to Independence ?
A complete No brainer, why would any sane person vote to continue to be subjugated or ruled by a foreign country especially as they have been ruled by this country for over 300 years. Why is there even a debate, surely it is a foregone conclusion.

It all boils down to: "Maybe we can do it, maybe things will be much better, BUT WHAT IF WE CAN'T? WHAT IF THEY'RE WORSE?? Things are more or less sort of OK at the moment so best just keep things as they are " |
