Who is even more unacceptable, as her father has been involved with certain heads of state that are deemed persona non grata by the international community.

One wonders why the courtiers are not doing their duty and instructing both princes to to dispense with these wholly unsuitable women. Why have they not arranged for some of the princesses from the European monarchies to be presented at court.

Prince William splits from Kate

Prince William has split from his girlfriend Kate Middleton.

The couple had been under intense media pressure since they met at St Andrews University, Fife, in 2001, BBC royal correspondent Peter Hunt said.

The prince's move to an army camp in Dorset, with Miss Middleton continuing her life in London, is also said to have put a strain on the relationship.

Clarence House has not commented on the split. There had been speculation about a possible engagement in recent months.....
