To be fair to Mark here (and I find him extremely annoying) he does seem to be able to express his own opinions, his talk with Helen after the argument was perfect proof of this when he was telling her she overstepped the mark by making it personal about her appearance etc, then he said to Helen? I think it was her anyway that he doesn't think Jale has done anything wrong.
