Default Shilpa Shetty going into Australian BB House? *Topics merged*

BOLLYWOOD babe Shilpa Shetty is going back into the Big Brother house – but this time Down Under.

She will join a gang of bizarre Bruces and shocking Sheilas in the Aussie version of the hit reality show.

And after her clashes with bully Jade Goody in Celebrity Big Brother, she will be thrown back into the firing line.

Aussie TV chiefs deliberately picked “unattractive” contestants.

And they are expecting fireworks when Shilpa, 31, walks in because the other girls will be jealous of her beauty.

Executive producer Tim Toni admitted Shilpa’s surprise guest appearance is designed to “liven up” the house.

And he confessed: “You have got to throw in a few hand grenades!”

Shilpa won Celebrity Big Brother in January after being made the target of racist bullying by Jade, 25.

But the Aussie housemates are also likely to test her composure.

One girl has obsessive-compulsive disorder and another is a chaste, tee-total Mormon.

Shilpa will fly to Australia next month to promote her new film Metro and will take time out to travel to the Big Brother house on the Gold Coast.

A spokesman for Aus-tralia’s Channel Ten confirmed: “We are trying to work out just how long she can spend in the house.”

Shilpa will not be the first Big Brother star from the UK to head Down Under.

BB 5 winner Nadia Almada, 30, made a guest appearance on the Aussie show three years ago.

And like the British Big Brother, the Aussie version – now in its seventh year – is no stranger to controversy. Two years ago MPs called for the show to be taken off air when a male contestant gave a girl housemate a massage with his willy exposed.

And last year two lads were kicked out of the house when one held a girl down in the bedroom while the other rubbed his privates in her face.

Default Shilpa Shetty is going to go back in the Big Brother house once again!!!

The Daily Star Newspaper tells us that Indian Bollywood actress and former Celebrity Big Brother housemate Shilpa Shetty is going back into the Big Brother house in Australia

I know???

Shilpa doesn't need the money either? Some might say it is a good career move, or attention seeking, or crazy?

I personally think that it is her decision and if she wants to go back in the BB house in Australia, then (good for her.)

Of course, everything that happened towards the end of our CBB in January and afterwards will be known in Australia by now and the housemates that will be joining her will also be aware of our furore.

The last thing that anybody would want is a repeat of what happened here to happen there.

I would give one simple piece of advice to all the housemates joining Shilpa in Australia's BB house.

( There are cameras everywhere, don't voice your opinions of Shilpa Shetty in the BB house, "For God's Sake!!" )

I have just noticed that this topic is here too and I missed it!

Perhaps some topic merging will be done.

Shilpa Shetty is a CBB girl (UK), hense it being in the CBB section too. Whoops!!

I don't imagine that the Daily Star is acurate.

If you are not sure where to post, best to put it in news stories.

CBB5? No. Nobody ever will. It caused such a furore. Like the fight between Emma & Victor on BB5. I shall never forget that either.

A further article from:- Entertainmentwise

They say "Could be", the Daily Star says, "Is"??

link & article below:- http://www.entertainmentwise.com/news?id=30782

Shilpa Shetty could be going back into the Big Brother house – but this time in Australia.

Big Brother bosses down want the Bollywood star will appear on the show when she travels to the country next month to promote her new film Metro.

A Channel Ten spokesman says, "We are trying to work out just how long she can spend in the house."

The show's executive producer Tim Toni adds, "You have got to throw in a few hand grenades!"

Considering the massive controversy Shilpa was at the centre of on Britain’s Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year and the headlines she can create with a simple kiss, that’s one big grenade.

Should Shilpa go back in the BB house?

No, it's asking for trouble

Yes, it'll be fine

Depends on the money

I D/L'd the opening night of the new Aussie BB - like here its no suprise that they've picked a bunch of egomaniacal show ponies who all want careers in tv or to release a single -

bound to be fireworks,

though after last years shenanigans it really makes you ask what is the point of the show when shock factor is now the name of the game and entertainment takes a back seat.

Some people may find sexual assault, racism and bullying entertaining - truth is in small doses and as a window into scumlife behaviour it can have its merit,at least on some kind of warning/socialogical standpoint. Though when it becomes the be and end all of a show, that show should just be allowed to die.

Lets see what we get for BB8, I still hope for "normal" people and a return to the shows original ethos, but I won't hold my breath

I doubt Shilpa will do this - she won't go into the house for any great length of time anyway.

Big Brother is something you only do once, unless your name's Jade Goody.

Take a show like "Eastenders" or "Coronation Street" and then, take out all the drama, violence, racism, vandalism, fire, arguments, cheating, sex, etc.. etc.. etc..

Then see what you are left with.

I shall tell you in plain and simple English,

(A show with not enough ratings to survive)

That is the truth and if anyone in the whole wide world expects soaps or shows like Big Brother, Celebrity or not, to survive without some sort of "trouble", then they are not understanding how it all works in this kind of business.

Drama and arguments create ratings and viewers find it exillerating, (so they watch), this creates, (viewing figures, i.e ratings)
____________________________________________

Shilpa Shetty is not an argumentative person. She is very nice and polite and friendly. To talk to Shilpa in a friendly manner would be a nice conversation, but not something which is going to interest many viewers.

It is obvious to most of us that, Max Clifford is her publicist, (agent), I watched him on TV talking about Jade Goody and what he would have suggested to Jade, is, that a successful celebrity who has a thriving career, doesn't need the Big Brother house and should stay away from it.

If that was the advice that Max would have given Jade, then, if Shilpa Shetty does go into the Australian version of CBB, then Shilpa must be either ignoring Max, or, it is different treatment for Shilpa Shetty, as Max is aware that Shilpa is an Indian Bollywood film actress and won't have the same problem that any other past housemate did in January's CBB, except Jermaine, of course!

What I said earlier in this topic, is, that the Australian housemates will be aware of the past furore in the UK and will be best advised to tread carefully and keep arguments and comments to other housemates instead and if anybody finds Shilpa Shetty to be, whatever?? just to keep tight-lipped and argue with another Australian instead.

You know what I am saying? No more furore. Total peace & nodisharmony

I hope it goes well for Shilpa Shetty and BB Australia.

I saw some footage on Youtube from Australia BB, certainly arguments and stuff at times, of course.......

Where did I say I didn't "want" any trouble ?
We clearly differ on what is entertainment - "trouble" in the context of BB can provide the drama needed to fuel the show - but there is a limit, which returns to the intent of my post, which you, as usual, ignored.

Once again you reply mantra style without actually comprehending what was written.

we know you support racism and bullying as "entertainment" - you have made that position quite clear.

But do not try and ascribe words and thoughts to me in my opinions, as you are incapable of doing so and remaining logical, not really a suprise as you and logic are strangers.

there is a world of difference between the alleged entertainment factor of say the last CBB, with the pure drama and entertainment factor of BB1, the intent of my original post.

My post concerned my desire to see BB return to its roots, for it to do that requires the selection of interesting HM's and not the shock and awe egomaniacs of the last few series.

The last Aussie BB had a sexual assault - that involved the show going off air and the police being involved, you clearly would find that entertaining on our screens, personally I do not.

the racism and malicious abject bullying seen of late is not entertainment, unless you are warped.

Your risible equation to the soaps you mentioned was hilarious, in the context of ignoring what i actually stated, yet you claim it as my intent.

My meaning was clear to anyome with a rudimentary ability to comprehend.
Clearly you are willing to excuse ANYTHING and call it entertainment - fair enough, that says more about you than I ever could.

But if you wish to make a cogent argument it helps if you do not attempt to distort the words of a forum member by twisting it so you can once again tout your "anything goes on TV in order to please the god of ratings" waffle.

And I'm sure theres something in there a thin skinned hypocrite can cry about

"QUOTE:-(Shock factor is the name of the game) is (Entertainment has taken a back seat) End QUOTE" Which spells trouble! Your point being, seems to be more shock than entertainment??? Ahh trouble factor.... It is inevitable, per ratings!!
___________________________________________
I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that limits are important in shows like these. I certainly agree that a sexual assault is very serious and in fact, any assault at all.

That is violence, totally different concept.....

I DO NOT, support Racism and at no point did I ever suggest that being Racist to another housemate within the BB house is acceptable, whether entertaining or not. My posts are all available to see and I have made that pretty clear.

What happened in CBB Jan is over with now and perhaps Shilpa Shetty will go in to the Australian version of the show, either full-time or part-time, who knows??

___________________________________________
I mentioned Eastenders & Corrie because I personally felt like it, as it was examples of what creates great ratings.

Good storylines.

I just watched the "Jeremy Kyle show". The advertising, five minutes before it started was "Trouble", three people getting out of their chairs and a security guy breaking up a possible brawl.

Life is like that sometimes.
___________________________________________
Shilpa Shetty will make her decision and I am sure it will be enjoyable, whatever she does.

She is successful now.

But sometimes, success can change and suddenly you are in a dimmer light for all kinds of reasons.
