Default BB1-Not The Proper Experience...

I don't think BB1 got the full BB experience because remember in Evictions how they were allowed to go outside the house and if they were up for eviction then they would be able to see their family. Also, If You see when Claire entered the house a camera crew were filming her entering
from the exterior and the Housemates could see all the camera crew. So The No-COntact with the Outside world was a bit messed up. What Do you think?

Thank you! I thought I was the only one who knew that. The 10 housemates could look outside the house on evictions; they could even step outside the door. The main problem was that in Bow, it had a public path, so anyone could come and enter, which is what happened in BB2.
The good thing about Elstree is that the house is built on a tank, and is a high level building with good security.

And Housemates can't walk outside the house! Imagine if that could happen now!

In BB2 the housemates had to stay inside the house and any new housemates entered through the diary room (i.e. Josh) so that the housemates didn't have "contact".

I think that in a way it did break the rules, but not technically. It's not like they were telling them what was going on in the outside world; they weren't talking to the housemates. Also, Aisleyne got escorted by a Big Brother producer to the House Next Door and so did Emma and Michelle with the bedsit.

Well I think the whole 'allowing the housemates more contact with the outside world' was cool back then cos it shows how much BB has changed.

I didnt like the fact they had windows in the bedroom because they could just look at the outside world

Mind you, the first series they couldn't really know what would work, but in BB2 they improved on that.

Compared with allowing HMs to leave the house, rake in money from the tabloids etc, learn everything there is to know about what's happened in the outside world, then putting them back in again (BB7, ex-HMs into HND), allowing those still in the house a glimpse of the crowd is small potatoes.

Good Point. And Jon in BB4 was telling stuff about the outside.

BB1 seems so innocent now. I'm currently re-reading the series book for it and it's very interesting when you compare it to the later series.
