I believe it was a planned murder. Hard to believe but not if you accept the very real possibility that the parents are evil. Why would it be a shock? Jimmy Savile, Fred and Rose West and all the rest, the world is full of evil.

The motive was everything that happened after the "kidnapping". All the media publicity and fund-raising. If you are evil and have zero morals, it is a great plan to make yourselves rich and famous.

It wasn't an accident because if it was then they would feel guilty and not want to make money out of it all.

If a member of my family was kidnapped, the last thing I would be thinking would be "let's set up a fund to make some money out of it". Evil people and money go hand in hand, that's the way of the world. Evil exists and is everywhere.
