I'm not alone! I'm so paranoid now though! I've only had it for two weeks, went and got my shorter bar Wednesday and it musn't have been tight enough. A friend has given me one of her batch of 100 from China off eBay thankfully to hold me over until the morning when I can go back to the shop and buy a new longer one!
