^^AYe Sunny^^

Thats what's so stupid about the US constitution. The first thing the framers thought of was freedom of specch. That seem's like a good place to start. The second thing they thought of was to get gunned up. It's ridiculous.

Yep G - a sad situation really when you think about it! freedom of speech and freedom to go on and kill each other when you dont like what they say!

Yep. This tragedy will happen again and again and again and gun owners will point to the constitution in order to justify their blood lust. Very sad.

My friend lives in Virginia. She was at the university 5 days before the shooting collecting formsto apply.

And she said... (to do with gun laws) it isnt as easy as everyone thinks to buy a gun.... the reason these typeof things happen is because the stupid idiots who have te guns lendthem out to people and thats when things start to happen.

^^Emilee is right^^

As I stated in a much earlier post, US gun laws are more strict than people think. I'ts just that there is definitely a gun culture and the right to bear arms is even written in to the constitution.

But it is a nice thought. Anyway, in the UK, we are pretty safe, I think?

Despite what the scare mongering gutter press like to say, we are. 2 in 100000 are murdered here, compare that to 6 in 100000 in the good ol' USA

Most of this is probably down to gang culture that is on the up here. Only here, you can't get hold of gun so they just use knives instead!

There is another point Edwin.

When you say that 2 in 100000 are murdered here and 6 in 100000 in the U.S.A, we have to take into account, also, that the U.S.A is a massive country and the UK is much smaller.

But the main observation, I have, is, how many in the U.S.A get injured by shooting, rather than "die"

I would say that figure would be massive for the U.S.A & much, much smaller in the UK, as less people get shot.

The gun problem will always be there and there are plenty of guns in the UK, "I know"..
