No one would find it "creepy" if he looked like Ash. And really, if you think about it, that's quite sad.

It reminds me of an article I read a while ago surveying girls in clubs. Basically, the findings were that they get dressed up (or, rather, down) because they want to look attractive. If they see an attractive man looking at them, they are flattered / that's the intention... But if a short bald guy looks at them, he's sleazy / slimy / creepy and making them feel uncomfortable.

That's basically what's going on here. People see a guy who looks like Chris getting close to a girl who looks like Ashleigh, maybe with a bit of a crush on her, and the immediate reaction is "EW! YUCK! WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?? CRAWL BACK UNDER YOUR ROCK!!"

It's really sad. The way people are reacting is absolutely disgusting. She's an adult. He's an adult. She doesn't feel uncomfortable, who cares if YOU feel uncomfortable? And I do feel creeped out if an unattractive person is looking at me but not in a way that I think they're doing anything wrong. If they started harassing me then that's another story. Looking is harmless (and this goes for Pav too).
