Euch. I'm a bit in the middle on this one. See, I'm nowhere near like the kids you hear about getting their stomachs pumped every weekend that give teenagers as a group a bad name, but I do occasionally drink alcohol without my parents' consent. Generally, I think there should be a maturity test in place. I'm not sure what it would consist of, but it'd be like getting a drivers' license, you have to take a test and get a license, and if you're breaking the terms of your license then it gets taken away from you. I reckon it would cut down massively on the number of people being irresponsible with alcohol, regardless of age.

It is always about the quantity of alcohol consumed, rather than the odd drink, now and again.

Underage drinking exists and I have NO problem with it whatsoever.

It's smoking I'm against

From personal experience, drinking underage is a silly act to do, it's worthless and if they're going to ban drugs, they should ban alcohol.

It causes more problems than it solves.

And I bet you if all the drugs in the world were created again, Alcohol would be the first one to take the chop.

I would agree that drinking can change the way you come across. It's a nightmare when you have a drunk son or daughter puking up all over your carpet.

Kids drink(So what?)

Teach them about "moderation", that's the real answer.

But, I love to have a drink personally

"and talking of that"

I shall have one right now

Good common sense viewpoint. It's a shame so many youngsters today dont have such mature views...

I am afraid alcohol is too embedded in society to get rid of. Its a shame the young and older people can't enjoy life without inducing a "False" personality under the influence of drink or drugs.

If only people who are drunk realised how stupid and badly behaved they appear....Not to mention likely future health hazards.....

The young so often have this terrible concept of believing they won't be damaged by alcohol any time soon.....or ever.......Adopting such a belief is actually proof that damage to the mind has already occured...
