Dunno to be honest. The actor managed to stop it and Rooney didn't, whether or not he tried.

I meant at the time he didn't go out to do what others have done when "caught out" and apologised.

The fact that this is being dragged up is because of Helen and the press now - she could choose differently now - maybe she will after this latest headline. Can't be soon enough in my view.
