I think that PE is important, but I dont think that people should be pushed to do things that are out of their ability which is what a lot of teachers do. They structure their lessons around a minority of kids who can do sports well and push the rest to keep up!

I think that lessons should be planned around different abilities and likes and dislikes. At least at my daughters school they can wear jogging bottoms and are not forced to show their legs off to all and sundry
