The sad fact is that a very small percentage of donated money actually goes towards curing cancer (the same goes for all charities). Not that progress isn't made, but I personally think that every person should be more aware of where there donated money goes. There are always ways to ensure that your money goes directly to the people who are actually making a difference.
University researchers get by on low wages and live in student digs while charity CEOs have million pound London homes and drive 70k cars.
If you do a little research there are better ways to get your money directly to the people doing the research. Always.
