Default Ideas For Careers

So I leave school in May/June (how scary) and I have no frickin idea of what I want to be. I took Business Studies, Health and Social Care and History as options, but I don't think I actually want a career in any of these fields. I'd be interested in interior design I guess, or journalism, but don't know how to go about these. Could anyone give me any ideas of careers/the best advice when leaving school?

I think for journalism you would need to take a media course

I'd like to do something like that, like do shabby chic furniture (like Charley Uchea) but also design room layouts for people to sample in the shop ect.

I would recommend using Kudos or Careerscape, they are really helpful. You take a short quiz based on work and studying and it gives you around 10 options of jobs you may want to take and all kinds of information around them.

Best way to think is to go through your options, and look at the careers up on the internet and see what Career you would like don't your school have some people who you can discuss your options with? I think you should go with your head/heart

It took over a year after leaving school to decide what career I wanted but now I've decided and I'm loving the course I'm on

You should do a an job aptitude test, see what you are best suited for and go from there.
