![]() Christine Cavanaugh, the voice of many iconic '90s cartoon characters, passed away on Dec 22. She was 51. After attending Utah State University and University of Hawaii, Cavanaugh moved to California to pursue her dream of acting and caught her big break in 1991 when she voiced Goslyn Duck from Dark Wing Duck. From there on out she would make a wildly successful career out of voicing characters. Most famously she voiced terrified toddler Chuckie of Rugrats, Oblina from Aaahh! Real Monsters and even became the voice behind Dexter of Dexter's Laboratory. If you were a late-'80s or '90s baby, you became instantly familiar with her many talents. She also made cameos in ER, The X-Files and Cheers. Fortunately for her many fans, she also expanded into movies, where she played the ever-famous pig, Babe, in his first and second Babe movies. In 2001, however, she retired her voice to move and be closer with her family. Although she had no children of her own, she does leave behind a godchild, Isabel Torres. A memorial stone ceremony was held in her honor on Antelope Island, Utah, a place she loved and often visited with her father, according to the Los Angeles Times. Source RIP ![]() |
