Let me begin with the fact that Perez Hilton has a terrible character and embodies some of the worst possible traits humanly possible. I adamantly make this point because there's no doubt that pretty much everyone openly agrees that he's either got a screw loose or he's just acting the perfect baddie role on purpose. I believe the latter.
How anyone didn't piss themselves laughing when he was literally just dancing in the garden semi-naked, whilst the rest argued with each other is beyond me. You must have the sense of humour of a brick if you watched it without cracking a smile. I reiterate, don't be deluded into thinking I think that Perez is a good person because he's a blatant **** stirrer. With that said he is still hilarious to watch along with BB's perfect video editing and anyone who thinks otherwise is fooling themselves into truly believing his act. Do I believe it's all acting? Hell no, he's probably mixing his genuine personality in there too but I argue the point that all actors do this to a degree anyway. Think about the way he does it though, I mean he often announces to us as the public exactly what he's about to do and often bows after what he does. The more of the public that hate him the more successful he's been as a Big Brother housemate in my eyes because he's filling his role to a tee. That cut of him screaming 'I'm coming' juxtaposed with everyone arguing was genius TV. He needs to at least make top 5 because once he's out, the show won't reach it's peak ever again. He's like the perfect baddie; like the person you boo and hiss at during a pantomime. Most importantly he's not singling anyone out either other than a falsified rivalry with Hopkins for dramas sake. Let's not forget at Big Brothers core the concept is that it's a social experiment and so far this is the best social experiment to date because of Perez. He's no way near as bad as James Jordan in BB14 either who got third place for bullying Busey the entire season; ludicrous, and that was bad because they fooled the poor sod into believing that he was in the wrong due to British customs/mannerisms. If James Jordan can get third place (I still cringe at the thought) then Perez should easily make top 5. This scenario however is completely different because Perez is well aware of what he's doing and is allying himself and making enemies with any and everyone around the house. Think to yourself what makes a true winner of Big Brother? Is it only the fact that they are nice people? Is the general kindness of somebodies personality something worthy of a winning place? In some cases I'd certainly agree, as with BB14 and Busey. However in that scenario everyone bar Audley (and another 1 or 2) played a group of baddies all at once and along with his eccentric personality practically handed Busey that win on a platter. I detested Perez with a passion to begin with but the more I thought about what he was actually doing, the more I realized he was BORN for this role. Let's not let this melodramatic TV porn end too soon. Last edited by Philanthropite; 20-01-2015 at 03:29 AM. |
