Default ..good chance not to go -- How fair on the others ?

We have seen this many times over the years of BB/CBB, a housemate is asked to select replacement for one those up for the next eviction, or to select an additional person. In their 'justification speech' they often say something like "I'm gonna pick someone who I think .. I know has a good chance not to go". It would appear that the person making this choice feels good about it because they have 'protected' those not chosen, but what about the others already up for eviction ? Could they not argue that their odds of being evicted are higher with this 'unlikely to be evicted' addition rather than an 'honest' choice, whose likelihood of eviction is comparable to their own ?

What can they say, the nomination process has always been flawed since BB1. Unless the HM feel confident that who they nominated will always be kept a secret no matter what, they will never feel comfortable saying what they really think.

I guess in their eyes the only person they're personally responsible for getting evicted is that person they put up so it makes sense that way

another poor show from katie P, she has been a let down so far. expected a bit more contravercy from her, esp. when given the chance to swap HMs who r up for eviction. thought she was fiery.......

Increasing the chances of the others going is fine when one of them was going anyway. KH wasn't going.

We won't know that for sure now, as she hasn't been tested, we are all going by hype on a lot of the housemates at present. I remember the hype surrounding the series Aaron won that Alex was a dead cert to win and very popular. That popularity was never tested until the final, and then she could only make third place.

She was asked to pick the least entertaining and explain why but by her own admission she did neither.BB needs to man up and start putting some of these people straight.

I think by accident she may have chosen correctly as while I do not dislike Calum of the four now up he would be my choice to go based on comparative entertainment. I do not believe he is safe from this eviction so Katie P could come well unstuck. ?

Exactly, she was asked to replace Katie Hopkins with who 'she' considered to be the 'least entertaining housemate'.
To put up someone she believed to be so popular that they would not go was just plain ridiculous.

She should have been told that her reason for putting Calum up was not a valid one as to what she was instructed to do, as you pointed out.
I hate this swopping of who is up by another housemate anyway, make them do tasks then the winner be saved and likewise for those not up originally up for eviction, do tasks for them too and the loser replaces who is saved.

Not have one housemate deciding everything.

Katie P is a coward....always says she says it how it is. At least Katie H would have been honest.
Katie p playing everyone's best mate in there to avoid being nominated... Calum has been boring but Kav IMO has been worse. She couldn't even bring herself to say it...she took the easy rout out.

I give her more credit. I think she knew putting Calum up would ensure a member of team twat goes thus keeping in with the GBP. She knows exactly how the majority of the GBP feel about them.
