I agree with everything you've said she was my favourite housemate at first two she showed herself as a well rounded practical and friendly housemate with a great sense of humour. Now I'm actually beginning to really dislike her she's as childish as Hopkins and the comment with Calum was just stupid I'm sick of her going on about the LGBT community and it's not just me but it's my gay friends also they've said that they're tired of her mentioning it and feel she's just doing it to get votes. Yeah. I said this a few days ago, but was hounded, but more are starting to see it now too. She just isn't as fun, but strong as it seemed that she will be in the first few days. She was the balanced authority figure the first few days that nearly always had it spot on, but know she spends too much time being miserable or just generally bitchy.

THE ONLY REASON everyone has 'gone off her' is because she has befriended Hopkins.

Michelle stood by her convictions to go in and give everyone a clean slate and not judge them on tabloid gossip etc AND SHES ONE OF THE ONLY ONES WHOSE DONE IT

Everyone is just 'oh so offended' by Katie Hopkins opinions that they can't appreciate a woman who stands for strength, integrity and loyalty actually likes her.

THAT is the crux of the Michelle hate.

Because somehow, ludicrously, Perez is being painted as some sort of victim.

I agree with you. I don't get what she thinks she is doing for the gay community being on bb anyway though she is very vocal about being there for that reason.
I liked her a lot in the beginning but she slipped very easily into the bitchy girl gang.

I couldn't give a flying fcuk about Hopkins or her opinions. Hopkins is not my least favourite in there. I have never felt "oh so offended" or outraged by Katie on the outside world either (mainly because I just found her very obviously attention seeking so never really took her that serious, would just roll my eyes at some things she said) I have found her unnecessarily mean towards Alicia in the house though,and I have questioned whether Katie is only nice to strong people and harsher towards weaker people, but they seem to have both made up and gotten over that in the last few days anyways.

I don't think Perez is really a "victim" either. I just said in another post that I can see why housemates don't like him and they have the right to ignore or argue with him if they wish. (I just don't agree with them trying to get his friends to as well)

Don't hate Michelle, she probably can be a decent lady. Just find her a bit "meh" though at the minute. She doesn't really interest me.
Maybe if Perez wasn't there we would see a more fun side to her?

I think she has been friends with Hopkins since the start and people still liked her then but are slowly going of her for other reasons, so I think a person can dislike Michelle or even just not be a huge fan without it necessary being linked to her friendship with Hopkins or her dislike of Perez.

Michelle comes from a time in New York when the gay kids were thrown out onto the streets and had to live on the piers, she's said this was one of the only communities that really accepted her. Back then the struggle was to just be accepted and fit in, and in that respect I can understand why she has a problem with Perez.

Her friends struggled to fit in, and Perez gives two ****s about being accepted or conforming, even going out of his way to be an irritant. I can kinda see how she feels that she's still fighting for the gay movement while Perez is messing it up and how that's made her be on gay activist overhaul, but she needs to get with the times. The gay fight isn't just about fitting in anymore, it's about a community of individuals. She's the one hurting it by giving Perez a set of rules that he has to live by to be 'acceptable.'
