Default Guaranteed Female Winner?

Given that the winner of every series so far has been a housemate who went in on the first night, have the guys (when they eventually come in) got any chance of winning? Eugene is the only additional housemate who's even come close so far, and he lost out to Anthony, the most anonymous winner yet (other than Cameron, of course). I suppose the odds would say that it has to happen eventually, but if Eugene couldn't manage it, can anyone else ever pull it off?

there's plenty of time for a bloke to come in and make a big impression, Everyone seems to be touting Laura as a probable winner, .. i dont know what all the fuss is about her really, she is a nice chatty girl, but other than that, i cant see why everyone is raving about her.
I am enjoying it so far though. Good mix ... + bring on the boys!!!!

It really depends on who the men are that come in (if they ever come in).

I think it's different this time around with newcomers because it's as if they should have been there from the start in a way.

I think it depends how late they come in aswell. If it's not within the first three weeks, I don't think any newcomer will do very well.

Males are generally more popular... so they definately have more chance of winning that a woman would if the tables were turned.

I think it all depends on who the blokes are really and if they have enough time in which to gain a support base and have a big enough impact to keep that fanbase going.

As I said before BB8, the producers gave us more female big characters as Charley, Emily or Chanelle. As usual too, a latecomer has never won BB; only Eugene came 2nd ! Then the chances for a woman to win are high !

It all depends on the male housemates. But the females do have the advantage as the public have all ready formed an opinion on them and the public have there favorites.

Depends on what kind of male housemates enter, if BB leave it too long then i think we will have a female winner this year.

I suppose because they have changed the format anything is possible really - I do think that unless they put some more men in soon that people will develop true favourites and then there is very little chance of a late comer winning.

I like Ziggy as he brings balance to the group but I am no convinced that he is a potential winner of the show.

Come on BB get us some decent blokes in there soon

If the winner is going to be female - it has to be the twins!

There is obviously a very strong chance it will be a female winner this year what with them being there since day one and having their fanbases form but if they do eventually add in male housemates and their fun and entertaining people will quickly start to change their minds no doubt about it.

Its only been a week- if the males come on Friday then they have a great chance of winning.

Yeah, I can't imagine for example an older guy coming in now and lasting for too long.

That will definitely be a factor in his/their favour, for sure. I suppose it depends on the people they choose though, like you've said. More often than not, they seem to pick additional hm's who have little chance of ever fitting in. Eugene is the only one who springs to mind as standing out for very different reasons. Still, I doubt he would've made the final at all if he'd been in from the start and not had the benefit of being in the spotlight.

I think that's why a lot of people think Tracey is a strong contender. Kate was a tomboy, and Nadia had a story to tell, of course.

I do feel this series has given females an advantage in terms of a female winner, perhaps because we've not had many, or just for the entertainment value. One of the girls we have at the moment could well be a potential winner - we've still got quite a while to see how they develop personally, what with more tasks and secret missions hopefully too. However, some of the males that enter could well be fantastic housemates and really make the vibe of the house much better, so at this stage it's still too early to determine anything.

The obvious thing is, we still have around 7/8 males to join the house, so depending on what them males are like, no one can really predict a winner. Plus, we're bound to have new housemates at some point, maybe they could make history?

The girls do have advantages though, mainly because people have grown to have favourites, so IF the boys go in, they'll be in a really weird enviroment, for the housemates and us, mainly because it's been their home for a few weeks, and we're only used to a female house this year. It's going to be great to see the men adapt to that kind of atmosphere. So yeah, depending on what the men are like, I really don't know.
