See I think this is one of the reasons why the celeb series are doing so well - because they've got such a mixture of ages. This is why I liked Jackie Travers - annoying as she was, at least she was an interesting addition to the house who created a new dynamic we haven't see in literally years.

The thing is the viewers these days are very cynical and pretty much have this perception that any old housemate will turn into a "Carole", from BB8.
Jackie, and Pauline - BB14 & BB15 are fantastic examples of this. So when they show a nasty side, or do something that the public don't agree with, they are given a much harder time for it, and end up being evicted early, when realistically they are nothing like Carole, from BB8, who was just a fun-sucking twat. Since BB8, the public have been doubtful about old housemates, and they end up leaving early. People always say they should have more older housemates, but they never last long. I think older housemates work much better for Celebrity Big Brother, rather than Big Brother. In response to the person who said Pauline wasn't old. What do you consider older housemates? In my opinion, over 40 is an older housemate. I'll be honest, I don't want to see a pensioner in there, who's over 60. A couple of over fourty housemates will do and maybe one or two fifty-somethings, for a much age-diverse cast. Last edited by Jason.; 23-04-2015 at 11:08 PM. |
