tbh Helen should have done it privately, or accused him of cheating instead of outing his sexuality. like people who are gay/ bi that are not confident to come out and they get called out it's not nice

In all fairness, I'm not condoning it, but Matthew and Toya instigated that argument. Bringing her past into the argument and referring to a human as "it" is disrespectful.

Not to mention, implying they have AIDS as they had to share a toilet with her.

It's a really annoying term tbh. and A gay guy is only "straight acting" if he's getting off with girls and not guys. A gay guy being masculine doesn't make him "straight acting", just like a straight guy who's effeminate (yes, there are plenty) isn't "gay acting".
