Let's be honest, an average of 4/5 million viewers is nothing special (it's a bloody crisis for EastEnders) yet BB still gets masses of coverge in the media. The Sun dedicates over 4 pages a day to a show which is nowhere near as popular as the likes of Doctor Who. Anyone else find it odd?

Other way round. I think its the popularity that justifys the press coverage. Per millions , it may not get as many viewers as less covered shows , but those shows dont involve real people do they? Nor are they followed with such feverish and obsessive support.
So viewer amount is not the matter really. Its the subject of the show. |

Also Doctor Who is on just one day a week, whereas BB is on every night, except Saturdays

4 million is good for BB it has improved since the 1st bb which had 2 to million average. its going through a ratings bashing now with it going against BGT which imho is rubbish.
