She tripped herself up saying she went on so she would get paid without her friend paying and then later changed her story. It's very unlikely that she didn't know. However, none of this is proof and Danny's tweet certainly isn't. The production crew of the show could probably prove it definitively however there's a strong chance of an NDA blocking that.
Personally though, I don't believe her. It'd be very unusual to not know that's how it works before becoming involved.
