So with the ex-housemates this year having been received relatively well by most, having provided most of the talking points and a slight increase in figures, there have been lots of speculation about whether C5 might capitalise on this and the seemingly tired format of the civilian series and do an All Stars next year.

So rather than a typical 'who would you want cast' thread which we always get, not only who would you want cast, but how long would you want it to run for, what format would you want it to be (normal noms, rolling vote to save/evict, US format, something different that you can invent, etc etc), what would the prize fund be (if anything, maybe they'd be paid fees), and anything else you can think of!

Oh and for the purposes of this please keep the cast ex civilian housemates only please. I think if they were gonna do a mix it should be the final series on C5, a la UBB

I wouldn't give them fees but maybe the winner of the series could replace Rylan on BOTS

I'd like it to run for eight weeks and to replace BB17 - a lot longer than a celebrity series, but shorter than most civilian series, so we have enough time for some actual drama/relationships to play out organically and have some longevity.

With 8 weeks I'd probably have 14 housemates, 5 in the final (not ideal but unavoidable if I want that many housemates). That would mean:

Week Four - 11 become 10
Week Five - 10 become 8 (double eviction)
Week Six - 8 become 7
Week Seven - 7 become 6 (and if it gets too boring during this week, maybe throw in a couple of hotel guests just as a one-off that don't have any power / nominations say)
Week Eight - final 6, with one eviction as a result of the Vote To Win

I think I'd probably keep it as Vote to Evict really... with the exception of the final week with vote to win obviously. Perhaps have one week mid-series where everyone's up and it's Vote to Save, just to keep Jack_ happy

As for casting... I wouldn't want to reuse any of the housemates who've been in UBB, or guested in this series, but at the same time it's pointless wishing for housemates who'd want nothing to do with the show any more (like Deana).

) for the entire series but idk, maybe a Head of House week or two wouldn't hurt... perhaps on launch, throw all fourteen of them in and as part of a classic "allstars" twist thing, have the 'Unlucky 13' be HOH

Mine would be a ten week series with one double eviction, leaving three in the final.There would be no prize fund (although maybe a donation to a chosen charity of the winner?) and would feature classic shopping tasks throughout like the box task. Nominations would occur as normal and it would be a vote to save, but on the week of the double eviction the whole house would be up.

Next summer's civilian slot would be filled with the all-stars series
I'd want it to be somewhere in between a celebrity and civilian series in length, so I'd go with about 40-45 days (starting early June and ending mid-July) - CBB... 18? (good lord) would still have its regular August slot
The cast is mostly realistic, and would involve a mix between Channel 4 and Channel 5 housemates
There'd be a lot of late entrants to try and involve as many people as possible, keep the series fresh and attract those who may not have signed up for the full six weeks
There'd be none of the legends from this series or anyone who featured prominently in UBB, simply because we've already seen enough of them
It'd be a vote to save to keep the series positive (-glares at UBB-)

Some would be shopping tasks, others just daily tasks.

Twists:

All twists would be from Big Brother past. On launch night, one of the housemates will be randomly chosen to be the unlucky thirteenth housemate in a less serious take on BB6's opening twist. After the second eviction, Alex, Charley and Dexter will enter the House Next Door, as last seen in BB7, with the evictee. Other twists would include the Prisoners' Dilemma from BB9, a BB3-style house divide for a day, and several other small parodies of bigger twists to keep the series fun (i.e. they might send all the women in first on launch night and pretend that's it).

Fun idea Jack! I'd use the BBUK format with 'Vote to Evict' and the two housemates with the most nominations each week facing eviction. The series would last 12 weeks. 16 housemates would go in for launch:

Helen (BB2)
Makosi (BB6)
Nikki (BB7), yes again just because she's that iconic.
Nicky (BB8)
Kathreya (BB9)
Rebeckah (BB10), would be interesting to see Rodrigo as she is now.
Hira (BB10), this woman seriously deserves some proper time in this show.

The late entrants (4 of them) each have to nominate one person automatically upon entrance, who will face a mid-week eviction. The 4 late entrants will be:

Another eviction takes place at the end of Week 6 leaving 8 originals and 4 new housemates. Two normal evictions after leaving 10 housemates at the end of Week 8. Then we'd have a Vanessa BB6 style eviction in Week 9, leaving 9 housemates left by the end of it. Week 10 and 11 would be normal single evictions. Week 12 will have a double on Tuesday (a la BB9), leaving 5 housemates for the finale at the end of week 12!

I'll do mine now seeing as I'm bored. Can we please refrain from just cast lists only though, this isn't one of those threads

So for me in an ideal world an All Stars series would last 13 weeks like we used to get, but that's never going to happen on C5. Ten weeks would also be great but I don't see many ex-housemates agreeing to that, so I think I'll settle for either 7/8 weeks, maybe a rounded figure like 50 days that could be marketed as such, so just over 7 weeks. The prize fund would be £250k (although £1m would be great) and there'd be no fees.

The format would be the US one with a few small tweaks to add extra elements to the game and give the public some say:

Head of Household:

Each week all housemates compete in a mental/physical/endurance competition to crown an HoH.

This person will nominate three other housemates for potential eviction.

Power of Veto/Save and Replace:

Either name will be appropriate here. All housemates (as opposed to just six in the US version) compete in this competition.

The person that wins has the power to save one of the nominees from the block, or leave the nominations in tact. If they decide to save someone, they will choose the replacement nominee (as opposed to the HoH deciding in the US version).

Vote to Save:

The public will then vote to save one of the three nominees, and Emma will announce this result live on eviction night.

Eviction Vote:

The rest of the housemates, excluding the HoH and the two nominees will then each cast a vote to evict one of the two remaining in the DR. The person with the most votes will be evicted, and in the event of a tie the HoH will break it.

Final Four:

When there are just four housemates left, whoever wins HoH guarantees themselves a place in the F3 and in doing so automatically places the remaining three housemates on the block. The public vote to save one as normal, and then that person will cast the sole vote to evict of the remaining two live.

Final Vote:

The last 8 people to be evicted before the final two will move into a jury house as normal, before returning on finale night to cast a vote for the winner. The UK will have the 9th jury vote.

I toyed with the idea of having the public vote from a pool of ex-housemates which I think would be a great idea to create hype, but I'm not sure I trust the public to pick the entire cast and I cba sitting here working out the ins and outs of who would be locks and who the public could vote from.

The evictions happen every five days and the public vote is open for 24 hours. A few double evictions to ensure the numbers are down in time for the finale and that's it.

Launch Twist:

The twist on the launch night would see a member of the public enter to try and convince all other housemates they featured in a series of big brother back in the first series if they convinced housemates that they featured in a last series they would stay in the house (reminiscent to Chantelle's task in CBB4)
