Probably because like many they are having to tread on egg shells because some people are obsessed with racism and imagine it is round every corner and in every word or sentence....

If you want to know what racism is remember what the Germans did to the Jews then see how that compares with the utterings on BBLB........A new word some should learn is to use. Proportionality. Keep things proportional and with a sensible perspective....

Good point, but i'd rather not remember the holocaust thanks, just because it's not as serious as that doesn't make it ok.

Dislike Dermot since BB5 when he ran a virtual hate campaign on BBlB ,Doing everything he could to destroy certain HM,s.Dermot has been going too far for a while and needs to be pulled up about it.I have never watched BBLB since and will not watch the xfactor now either.

Why did Dermot then say it's racist? It isn't racist at all because Brian can't swim. What I do find offensive is the fact that Dermot called it racist.

I think you've all either not watched it or do not understand what I meant by the first post. I wasn't calling it racist to call Brian a bad swimmer. I think that's a pathetic thing to say, which is why I'm annoyed/confused why Dermot would, and DID call it racist.

Dermot could be seen as being racist for bringing the word racism into something completely unrelated to the colour of the person.

Exactly...I think that's the issue. When I heard him say it, I was a little taken aback but wasn't sure why exactly. Not to say that Dermont is racist, but it was an inappropriate thing to say, especially considering that it is a very touch subject in general and more so where Big Brother is concerned.

I wonder if Ofcom has received any complaints about this.
