Default SICK, SICK, SICK.

I strongly detest the 'Child Pageant' circus which infests the USA and is starting to emerge here. Shows like 'Toddlers & Tiaras' are so sick and disgust me.

Demented mothers bullying children as young as 1 year old, covering them in make up and miniature copies of adult clothes, and forcing hairstyles upon them which are more fitting to 50 year olds. Forcing them to perform like little robots despite the child's often reluctance.

I genuinely think that the parents need special scruting by child welfare experts and that this practice should be banned.

What do you think?

It's certainly moved on from the Bonnie baby contest.
I do wonder at some of the mothers, get some jeans/scruffs on these kids and let them get out and play instead of dragging them here there and everywhere
Looking like miniature totties.

honestly, i just think it's a more open thing now. imagine the pressure william and kate's children will have to put on the right clothes and photograph well and behave in public, it's really no different. it's the same pageant mentality for the royal kids. but it's okay to force the royal kids to do that, but for "common" kids it's abusive?

I agree Kirk,it is not what most children would naturally do,these 'mothers' are clearly over indulgent and living out their fantasys through their children, plus most of them look ridiculous and they grow up thinking they are kind of better than other kids when in reality they are usually spoilt little madams.

I think it borders on child abuse, frankly.

I heartily agree Kirk. It's as if they can't let them have a childhood, but insist on hurrying through from babyhood to adulthood with no inbetween.
Some of the worst offenders are that bitch who gave her 8 year old botox, because she had wrinkles on her forhead!!
Another bitch taught her tiny one how to pole dance and gave her a voucher for breast enlargement when the poor mite didn't even have breasts yet.
It's as you say, sick.

It's really awful, I don't watch these shows because it gives them ratings.. and if they didn't get any they would probably stop doing the shows.

Bonny usually means pretty. A 'bonny lass or las'.
