X Factor girl group Alien Uncovered are now a five piece after losing a member this week ahead of tonight's final.


The act were one of the more exciting of this year's finalists but unfortunately left FAR too soon, going out of the competition in the second elimination of the series.

The girls were made up of Madison, Natalie, Temple, Frank, Yaz and Shae but Frank has now left the group.

"Sometimes people part ways and although this is the end of a chapter we are really excited to show you guys the new Alien Uncovered!" the girls tweeted last night. "We want to thank you for all your endless support and we hope you continue to support us on this journey."

However Franke took to Twitter to hit out at her former bandmates.

"Just to inform everybody that I was unexpectedly forced out of the band, by the other band members, who I thought were my friends," she tweeted.

She later added: "Big knock down after 3 years but I'm coming back stronger."

Traditionally the eliminated acts all return for The X Factor final but it's not clear if Alien will be back and, if so, whether or not Franke will also be invited by the show's team.

It could be rather awkward if she does turn up...

Speaking after the group's premature exit from the competition last month, Cheryl suggested that the Alien Uncovered were just 'too good'.

"I think maybe because they look so polished and almost ready to go that you would possibly vote for someone else," Cheryl explained.

Describing the group as this year's shock exit for her, Cheryl added: "But I don't think it's the last of them, I think it's just the beginning."
