Don't you mean that they have been TOLD to sing pretty good songs written for them by actual song writers. They are the front men to a very large production team behind them who write songs to appeal to the mass population to generate massive cash flow for Simon Cowell.

They do also write songs Johnny,they have had some really good songs out imo

Hi Kaz. They take part in song writing for sure. But tbh totally honest they do not compose songs. They might say lets say this lyric or that one but musically the add nothing to the actual production of a song. They are not musicians and are the first to admit that. The people behind them are great song writers.
