Here's some info on series 2 of skins:
- 1. They're just under 2 months into filming it
- 2. Series 1 is airing on Channel 4 in August, after being shown only on E4 during it's origional run. Suggesting that series 2 may premiere on Channel 4 also.
- 3. The skins site is already teasing people with the chance to get their face in series 2.

From that I think we can expect a late 07/early 08 start as series 1 launched in late Jan/early Feb after being filmed earlier in the year than this. Maybe new years week/mid Jan?

Okay, if they're not then someone better correct this:
"Filming began in June 2007 on the second series." on the wikipedia article. Also the dvds out in september and so it cant be long before they do, if they havent.
