![]() Points: 81 Votes: 8 Late entrants never tend to do overly well in these kinds of shows, at least as far as winning the whole thing is concerned. Granted, Vicky only went in three days after the start of the series, but the odds were against her already – storylines were already bubbling away in the main camp, Lady C was getting ready to take over the series and there wasn’t really time in the day to devote a significant portion of the programme to Vicky and her fellow reality TV veteran chums off in their separate camp. That isn’t even to mention that Geordie Shore hasn’t a reputation of being the classiest of shows, which I’d imagine would be a concern when it comes to trying to appeal to 11-odd million people enough for them to part with their money and spend it trying to keep you around. You might give them an STD through the screen or something. But Vicky managed to defy those odds. She tackled bloody tonnes of bushtucker trials and passed them with flying colours. She made great friendships in the jungle, with Ferne and… she tolerated Lady C, didn’t she? That’s more than you could say for most people in there. She won the thing by miles, despite her competition being a beloved boyband member and a woman who ATE A GIANT HUGE MOTHERLOVING FUCKING SPIDER ON NATIONAL TELEVISION. She fixed whatever damaged reputation she may have had from building a career on vomiting on Geordie people and selling workout DVDs, and is now on route to make a fortune and become a Loose Woman. And I say good on you, Vicky. Good on you and why aye man. Whatever that may mean in your language. |

I agree with Patsy being overrated for someone who didn't do much, but I still love her

Trixe Mattel and Nyle DMarco not even qualifying.

![]() She was brilliant. Would've been my fave had she been in either of the two previous series but Ferne McCann and Lady C existed for her unfortunately. |

![]() Points: 82 Votes: 7 4th Impact – or 4th Pimpact as nobody really calls them but me – gave one of the stand-out performances of this year’s X Factor auditions. Originally known as 4th Power until they were forced to change by a Brighton-based music charit-no, hang on, that was Little Mix. Let’s just say that’s the way God made them. Anyway, 4th Pimpact were one of the favourites to win ever since that very first audition, and continued to knock it out of the park, even when one of their members was literally knocked out on the floor, having fainted on live TV. More than once. Not even accusations of fixing (due to their existing record contract, which would explain why they were much, much better than all of the competition put together) could stop these girls. 2015 was the year of the 4th Pimpact and you’d better have got used to it, baby. It’s weird trying to write this in the past tense, isn’t it? What was I talking about again? Yes, that’s it, 4th Impact were winning. And then… they didn’t? They left in the quarter-finals, which because of the show’s reduced timespan this year was probably week 2. They didn’t win and that was that. You know who won if you read her write-up or weren’t living under a rock for the last few months. No, wait, now that the X Factor’s relevance is fast fading I can’t actually use that excuse. Maybe you don’t know who won The X Factor. And maybe you never will. Maybe that’s a good thing. I don’t really like The X Factor. I don’t know if you can tell. I’m very tired. 4th Pimpact, ladies and gentlemen! ---------- #=25 ![]() Points: 82 Votes: 7 Do correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe Shirin – one of the only contestants in this ranking to be on the list for two editions of the same show – is largely here for her appearance on Worlds Apart. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure she was definitely preferable to a number of others on Cambodia, but it was in the former that she really shined. She wound all of her tribemates up the wrong way (with pretty trivial, but too good not to be intentional, surely) and wound up more or less hated by all of her tribemates. So much so that… none of them voted her out? Yes, somehow she stayed long enough as to finish in 8th place, by which time she’d become a fan favourite – as if she wouldn’t be after that brief recap – and people she feuded with (i.e. Will) weren’t. So, along comes the chance for America to vote for its own Second Chance cast, and lo and behold, they pick Shirin. One down, Cambodia to go. Spoilers: his one’s a bit briefer than her first go, I’ll be honest. Having set herself up for success by managing to help vote Vytas out in episode one, things took a turn for the not-so-good and she didn’t stick up for Abi-Maria when she saw she was in a worse position than her (i.e. she was being ostracized), leading to her rather swift elimination. Still… we’ve always got Worlds Apart, right? |

![]() Points: 85 Votes: 6 c+p Patsy’s entry. On second thoughts, maybe not. Whilst Patsy’s time in the Celebrity Big Brother house was spent desperately trying to disenfranchise herself from the shitshow going on around her, Nadia grew more determined to defend Perez (against the advice of pretty much everybody) and even more determined to grind Katie Hopkins down to a gibbering wreck. If you know the absolute minimum about Katie Hopkins, you’d know that this isn’t a very likely goal to try and work towards. Try climbing Mount Everest first, Nads, set your sights low. Nadia only went in to get some work on her house done, and now she was caught in the crossfire between Perez and Hopkins for what must have felt like an eternity. Both she and Patsy loathed every waking minute of the experience but whereas Patsy hid herself away, chanting, meditating and occasionally wondering if the oven was a gas one or not, Nadia actively got up and rooted for one side of the argument-in-which-there’s-no-winner. She got up and told you that she’s not a bloody performing bear! She got up and laid into Calum for, erm, being told by Perez that he didn’t like her cooking or something, god there were some ridiculous arguments in that series, weren’t there? But most of all, she spent every ounce of energy she had in that house laying into, and breaking down Katie Hopkins, which is why in a way it was a bit of a shame that he didn’t outlast her, but on reflection was probably best for us all. We’d have had a Cannibal Holocaust-type situation on our hands if they’d been in there together any longer. Last edited by MB.; 02-01-2016 at 07:43 PM. |
