The Daily Record understands that Rangers and English Premiership outfit Newcastle are two of the clubs involved in
the high level probe.
It's believed the search is linked to the £8 million transfer of French international Jean-Alain Boumsong, who moved to
Tyneside in January 2005 - just six months after joining Rangers from Auxerre on a free transfer.
