Of course the rest of The Truth's post is a load of bull**** and I suspect that he knows it too and is winding everybody up.

I always wonder why women are no good at painting.I mean why do they always have to get the decorators in once a month?

As for equal pay. There is no gender pay gap now up to the age of 29.Infact women are getting paid slightly more in their early 20's.It's only really noticable after the age of 40 when a lot of women have made the lifestlyle choice to have kids in their 30's and leave the work place. Then they have to start climbing the ladder again.

I know several women who fit laminate flooring, tile, plaster, do joinery, even bricklay and one who is a plumber. More and more young women are training in traditional 'Male' trades such as Construction and Mechanical Engineering. The Times They Are A Changing.

I don't mind women not doing these jobs.I mean yes it's cute when they try to get involved but there are loads of female oriented jobs aswell.Whether people choose to accept it or not.Men and women are different which is a good thing. We each have our different skill sets and i appreciate the hard work that women do.It's unrealistic to expect women to be carrying hods of bricks up and down ladders or around a building site. You just carry on as you are women. We(most of us) appreciate you for who you are.

Three years ago we bought an ancient derelict building in Briancon and turned it into 6 modern apartments. I got really involved in the building work which included helping to lay a new roof which was 100ft up (but I'm a climber so enjoyed that). I learnt to use a circular brick saw, nail guns, angle grinder and circular table saw and although I loved it' the things I couldn't do was carry heavy loads or lift and move weighty things and I didn't have the strength to knock down walls with a sledge hammer.

I always believed that I could do any job a man could do but six months of that sort of manual work really did me in; I just didn't have the same physical strength that a man does. I respect any woman who gives this sort of job a go but I think some jobs are definitely mans work.

A very good and realistic answer.I've done loads of manual work and it's tough going for a man too(even though we don't usually admit it). It's unfair to expect women to do things that they are not physically capable of.Women give birth.I've witnessed that twice and god knows i would'nt wanna do it.I think we should all accept the differences and let women be women and men be men.

Indeed. Also men get less distracted as they are less inclined to gossip and want to talk endlessly about feelings and clothes.

Ha.Yes true.I always feel slightly uneasy when i see a woman driving a bus.
I once saw a woman breast feeding a baby whilst driving!
Constantly see them applying lippy in the mirror whilst driving too.So many distractions for females.
