http://www.goal.com/en/news/2994/bet...e-mcclaren-at- http://www.express.co.uk/sport/footb...Steve-McClaren Looks like Rafa Benitez will be appointed. This will be hilarious as the Toon army were one of they key fans who called him FSW for years. If they get Rafa or Harry , then I can see NuFc beating Leicester now, new manager bounce and all that. Newcastle need to beat Leicester to kick start their comeback, they need to do a Leicester...against Leicester If they can beat Leicester they will go into the Sunderland Derby with a lot of confidence. Newcastle have some good players Mitrovic, Wijnaldum, and Sissoko who may respond to Rafa or Moyes. Don't think Rogers is a candidate. Last edited by alex_front2; 11-03-2016 at 07:42 PM. |

Like I said I think the unthinkable can happen, NU can beat Leicester. Leicester are not a Man City or a Spurs they are an above average side who have had a bit of luck, great team spirit, a passionate coach and Vardy, Mahrez ,Drinkwater and Kante playing well. The LCFC defense is well iffy IMHO. Fuchs is good, but High as experienced as he is can get out run, Chilwell very young, Simpson doing too much media these days (MOTD2, Talk sport, Question of Sport, 5Live this week alone).
All it will take is Mahrez to pick up a knock, recently Vardys finishing to be a bit ****e (he hasn't scored in last 3 games v Norwich, West Bromwich, and Watford in fact he looked a bit tetchy). Leicester are counter attacking so they like playing away against the big teams. At home against poor teams they are a bit less impressive. They have not beaten Bournemouth or Aston Villa all season. Ulloa rescued a win on 89mins against Norwich. Leicester are slightly better than the team who went on that run towards the end of last season. They can easily lose this if NU frustrate them and nick a goal. Last edited by alex_front2; 11-03-2016 at 07:43 PM. |

I might lump £50 on NU to beat Leicester City or draw no bet.
Thank feck I didn't go down that route!!! However, I do think Rafa should change his mind and stick with NUFC even if they (inevitably) get relegated. He is more than capable of bringing them back up at fist chance. Yes the championship is a dog fight, 10 clubs still realistically in with a chance of promotion at Christmas, and the uncertainty of the play offs (hate it when #6 place team goes up) but Rafa will attract the best kids, Mahrez/Vardy type bargains, rag tag talented ambitious journeymen and the best perfomances just because he's Rafa. When NUFC do return to EPL in a year , he will be the manager of a big club. He should stay. He literally has no where else to go. It's not as if he will get the vancent Arsenal job or the MAN U job, there's no Spanish job (Valencia probably won't take him) Last edited by alex_front2; 04-04-2016 at 01:23 PM. |
