GTA. The story, characters and cities are usually very good but the gameplay and missions have never been more than mediocre. It baffles me how they get a free pass every single time despite not delivering on arguably the two most crucial parts of any game.

The first one is very slow, gets a lot better in 2 & 3, took me a long time to get into it. I even sold it once before giving it a second try.

I don't know what it is lately but I am struggling to get into either of FIFA or PES new Games.

Maybe they need some new Football franchises to start coming out because I feel like those two franchises are getting complacent knowing that nobody's gonna challenge them for the top spot.

The first couple of hours of the first game ARE a bit slow, but ME2 is a masterpiece. ME3 is also brilliant, even if the "full" ending really is lacklustre. The other endings to individual plot lines are still good.

I'd have agreed up until 5, as whilst some missions get repetitive, a lot of the main storyline missions are actually great gameplay-wise.


As for overrated games, any of the "yearly release" tat to be honest. CoD, Assassin's Creed, Fifa et al. CoD4 was a multiplayer classic at the time but the somewhat unexpected success caused them to milk it to absolute death.

My other nominees are League of Legends, Dota2, etc... Just no.

also the last of us i really enjoyed this and think it's a fantastic game but i've seen it mentioned as "the greatest game of all time"
