Ditto. Im not religious but I still find all the ambience and history around it interesting.

Bibles are pretty cool. Their really big and have those thin little papers , even if the book itself is - in the words of Steve Allen - '******* vile'.

I'm italian then I'm catholic ! In fact my father is Orthodox because he was born in Russian but my mother is catholic because she's italian.
At my birth it's been a big conflict about that, my father's family against my mother's one.
Finally I'm catholic !

The religion helped me a lot in a lot of situations, hard or not. People think it's silly but without that, I would be dead or something like that. You can't deny the existence of Jesus, it's impossible, this man created what we are today.

I think I haven't the choice, if I don't trust anymore in my religion, I'm out from my family, it's the traditions !

While I respect your opinions I have to disagree with you their. At least say their is 'something' out their. But to narrow it down to Jesus just does not work for a lot of people.

And if the man indeed created what we are today he has a lot to be proud of and a lot to be not so proud of if you ask me.

It's not a question of opinion, I'm realistic at the moment. The humanity is only about him, something happened, it's the beginning of everything.
After that, Jesus didn't create a proper religion, it's been created after, that's the difference.

I did not say "they trust in Jesus" I said "something happened 2000 years ago and it's surely about him". Don't you go out or don't you read the news ? Do you know the world history ? In every religions, except the Hindu one, Jesus existed.

Yes but you said 'its not a question of opinion' , and im saying it is - because their are a lot of people out their who dont believe in Jesus , heck , their are loads of people out their that dont believe in ANYTHING and set their beliefs in science , or the planet , or a particular life philosophy.

I always read news , and I know quiet a bit about world history , and guess what? I still dont believe a word of it. I hardly think its fair to insult my observational skills because I dont share the same belief system as you.

I believe in science. I need proof before I believe in anything.

Science gave us the atom bomb , so I have my reservations.

Then again it gave us acid.

Hurrah for science!!!

I took Religious Studies as an A level and I'd get the same type of responses or they would ask if I was going to be a priest .

Most of what I studied was philosophy of religion and the various arguments for and against the existence of God and I found it about the most interesting subject.I don't get why people assume it's just for religious people.

i dont know how people can say something like im cathlic or protestant, i mean i doubt you even practice the religoun?

its just a formal thing to have. when a religoun convo comes in youd say "oh yeah Im cathlic, blah blah" than when some other light hearted convo comes in "oh religoun is stupid, Jesus was probably a drunk lunatic"

its a big fat farse nowadays! religoun was ! aint no more (in the mainstream)

blah blah blah
