You would have more luck arguing that the reason behind the American support of Israel is more to do with Armegeddon and the Rapture.

There are a clique of Fundamentalist Christians who believe that America must support isreal, the purpose of which is to bring about the tribulation then the 7 years war which leads to Armageddon and rapture. Whilst this is insanity, these people have the ear of some very powerful people who share their beliefs.

Of course the actual truth is that Israel is always going to be the best chance, along with Saudi Arabia for America keeping a power foothold in the middle east.

You state that powerful people in congress are behind this, strange then that the Zionist clique themselves are berating congress for assisting palestinian refugees - a bit strange behaviour for a congress and business clique who are committed "zionist jews"

There is a school of thought, which I happen to agree with, that if Isreal was to withdraw to its 1967 borders peace could be achieved in the middle east.

Though withdrawl would have to be accompanied by guarantees of the recognition of Isreals border and guarantees of security from Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and for them to bring enough pressure to bear on Hamas to make it workable. Should Isreal withdraw to its 1967 borders it would also do a lot to reduce the noises coming from Iran, as a withdrawal to those borders would go a long way to appeasing the Ayatollahs - who actually hold the power in Iran.

there would also have to be a dmz along the border and Jerusalem would become a kind of "free city", along the lines of Berlin pre-1990 - with guarantees of safe passage for all visitors, residents and visiting worshippers from all sides.

Without that as a minumum I doubt peace can be achieved.

Isreal must draw back
and America must stop paying Isreals military bills.
