(Seems like a great bunch, but compared to some older series, couldn't really grade them any higher than a B.)

(Everything seemed to go according to plan, minor hiccups but nothing major)
-Effort: A
(Very impressed with the effort put into the set, you can tell they've tried really hard already with this series. Also, even though I only graded the housemates as a B, I think to even achieve that must have been a struggle. Low number of applicants, and a low number of those being quality/worthwhile, means a B is probably as high as we could expect, so they must have put much more effort into casting this time around imo.)

Best bunch in a long, long time. Very diverse for C5 TBH, I mean I wasn't expecting a BB10 cast something we haven't got but I expected a BB16 esque cast and I'm pleasantly surprised it wasn't just what I expected.

Execution - B-

It seemed a bit rushed and messy in certain areas:

- The door shutting on Emma nearly
- Evelyn revealing they'd give her Emma's nametag
- BB forgetting to tell Charlie to take off her mask
- Emma seemed like she didn't know how to interact with the housemates in parts too

Effort: - A+

They've really tried to pull in the effort of viewers this time and instead of just having a 'lol random theme we'll use about three times in the series' they seem to have thought it through and the twist with Laura was actually okay so overall an A+ TBH for them.

Housemates - B: On paper, this is the most diverse bunch we've had since BB11. More freaks would have been welcomed, but there's more older housemates than normal

Execution - B: Again, I know how much producers love a twist but this seems like a cast which can carry themselves so I wish they'd be left to it. Not a fan of housemates being nominated launch night, makes no sense

Effort - A: The effort they've put into both houses is clear, but my god the new exterior is beautiful. So freshing to have something different.

I think very little effort was made to reinvent the show, as Channel 5 is driving big brother to the ground. I think they made zero effort to pick a cast of diverse, relatable housemates and have isolated many of the watchers. No one in the world is going to think "Oh wow that one girl from The Valleys (never heard of it) is on BB, gotta watch it!" They have no idea how pointless it is putting semi-"famous" people in there that no one has an interest in getting to know

Spot on, RK. They seem to have picked the housemates from a coterie of wannabes, who are desperate to raise their profiles, rather than selecting a real diversity of people.
