And (can't speak for everyone obviously) but we do respect our elders, we just wish they would respect us and be like "hmm those young people want to remain, the people who will be growing up in this country and getting jobs and living an adult life maybe I should just support them" seeing as either way it wouldn't effect elder people too much as they are probably not working, less likely to buy another house etc
It's not only "oldies" that vote. A lot of 20 year olds helped with the leave outcome. Older people don't owe you anything... It's selfish to think they should vote in just because YOU want them to.

You can bet some just voted to leave to get rid of Cameron,to hell with the country, Cameron was leaving anyway so to gamble on the future of the country is ludicrous and imo stupid.

Ok them I'm selfish! I'll take that! If wanting my age group who will be working in and for his country and giving to the economy paying taxes (everything I've said) to get what they want is selfish, then yea I Am but it's completely reasonable as WE ARE THE ONES LIVING IN THE COUNTRY FOR UP YO THW NEXT 80 YEARS

It is pure Baloney Tom - people are so gullible.

For months, the Remain camp and their expert 'Economists' have been in agreement that "No changes will happen quickly if we Brexit" and that "It will take at least 2 years", but NOW sterling falls and the markets collapse IMMEDIATELY?

Why should that be?

Perhaps those responsible belong to the same school of stupidity that David Cameron belongs to - you know? The guy that spends £2 Billion of Uk taxpayers money on accelerating Turkey's accession to the EU, whilst he is telling us at the same tme that "Turkey has NO chance of joining the EU" and that it will be "At least 3 to 4 decades before Turkey is allowed to join".

Incidentally, Cameron could have WAITED until AFTER the referendum to spend that £2 Billion, because now it has been wasted.

Anyway, back to the markets and sterling - they will recover, but only AFTER traders and informed speculators have made billions from betting on those DELIBERATELY MANIPULATED fluctuations in sterling and the markets.

Just as the Scots ALWAYS intended to hold another referendum on devolution and have OPPORTUNISTICALLY seized this referendum result to do so, , the Money speculators have seized this referendum result to manipulate the markets and sterling in order to make their killing.

Finally, all the sour grapes screaming alarmists who are weeping and wailing because the pound has dropped a few points from a HIGH of $1.50, should remember that the Pound was ONCE worth 4 DOLLARS - but that was decades ago, and we have LIVED with it being half of that or worse ever since. The UK did not collapse.

They are full of shet.

I absolutely hate that term 'little Englander'. I view leaving the EU as leaving a closed club for the wider world. There is nothing little about it. Can we start today by stopping the implications that Brexiters are all inward looking racists? I don't see those of us who wanted to leave mud slinging and name calling and it would be very nice if the remain side would cut it out now. I don't think that kind of thing really does anyone much credit.

Can people stop calling us bitter when we are just pointing out clear facts like the economy has gone tits up already and the Leave campaign have been called out on lies

No doubt about that.

I do not know about a general election but I do feel really, that a fresh mandate as to selecting who should be negotiating a deal now as to leaving needs to be looked at.
Firstly at the very least it should be an all party negotiating team as there could even be a general election held before the deal is even concluded.

For me too, because of his determination in bringing this about, Farage should along with his party, have a say as to such negotiations too.

I agree with Pete too, the 16 and 17 year olds should have had a vote on this and also it should have had a lock as to majority to make the vote binding on the govt.
That is history now however, the pro EU side of the govt failed to grasp the mood of England and indeed Wales too.
If only ALL the losing 'Remainers' were as decent and gracious as you Joey. I know we have often been at loggerheads on here, but I do GENUINELY like and respect you.

Thank you.

You aren't just pointing out facts, some of you are being rude and disrespectful towards the older generation just because you didn't get your own way and want someone to blame.

Anyway, I'm going to get some shut eye. Carry on carrying on.

So DEMOCRACY is exercised and all of a sudden, this is a "stupid backwards country" full of "stupid backward people"?

Obviously your opinion weighs more heavily than that of 17,410,742 other British Citizens?

Unfortunately, you are - like the rest of us - but a mere passenger on the good ship HMS Great Britain, NOT the Captain.
