Tory leadership contender Andrea Leadsom has sparked outrage after claiming she has the edge over rival Theresa May - because she is a mother.

The Times ran the story and have released the audio of the interview and the journo was on BBC news this morning defending the article.

She did say it but also said along the lines of but i dont want this to be made into an issue thus ensuring she has an out.


So was she devious, naive or is this just Murdoch picking PMs again and supporting May?
