Big Brother – first housemates in the diary room chair.

Tonight Channel 4 presents the very first edited programme from Big Brother. For viewers who have not been able to follow the live streaming on E4 or the web, it’s a chance to catch up with what the housemates have been up to on Day 1 (Friday) and Day 2 (Saturday) in the house.

Tonight’s programme includes for the very first broadcast of the housemates in the diary room – the live streaming of course never includes diary room footage.

First in was Jade who calls Big Brother “Big B”. Unfortunately for Jade, technical problems prevented her from hearing Big Brother’s replies to her enthusiastic greetings and her attempts to engage Big Brother in conversation. Undaunted, bids an enthusiastic: “Goodbye Big B” and then discovers she can’t open the diary room door. “I’m the first contestant to be locked in the diary room,” states a rather deflated Jade. Fortunately, it’s not for long, and Big Brother calls the housemates to the girls’ room so that the door can be adjusted.

Lynne also talks to Big Brother and says it’s hard to take everything in at once. She says she is looking forward to the group chilling out over the next few days.

Adele tells Big Brother that Spencer doesn’t like getting involved – only when it’s to do with drink. She gets on best with Kate at the moment. She thinks Alex is “gorgeous and gentle” but doesn’t fancy him yet.

Spencer, who hardly slept on Friday night, tells Big Brother his first day in the house was very slow and boring, with nothing to do. He would like a football to kick around the garden and more space. He gets on with Sandy he says, because they both like peace and quiet.
