US Big Brother has come under fire after a contestant made anti-Semetic remarks on the CBS channel show’s live feed.

During the rant, 27-year-old cocktail waitress, Amber Siyavus Tomcavage said that most Jewish people she knows are “selfish”.

She added that her mother told her the reason she didn't like someone was because they were Jewish, and explained how you could identify Jewish people “by their nose”.

In the footage, which happened earlier this week and has not been broadcast on the highlights show, Amber said: “The majority of people I know from New York are Jewish, and the majority of Jewish people I know, my gosh, so many are so selfish.”

“Even my sister always tells me, she’s like my sister, and my mom will meet someone and I’ll be like, ‘I don’t like that person. That person doesn’t seem like a very good person to me,’ and my mom and sister are like, ‘You know why? They’re Jewish.’

“‘How do you know?’ ‘Amber you can tell by their last name, you can tell by their last name, you can tell by their nose.’ I’m like, ‘Really?’”

A Youtube video of the outburst has been viewed over 120,000 times.

CBS has to buckle now that it is being reported by international media also. The ads though for the show have made not mention of Amber and her views though. They just keep saying America's Player is on the block. Can he survive?

Why is CBS getting flack for this? They did nothing wrong. Amber's just a complete idiot. CBS never haboured anti-Semitism. However, this is footage that should be shown because it is the basic concept of Big Brother: emotion. Not gameplay (BBUS screwed Big Brother), strategy, or evictions, just people. I know that it would be very controversial and the dumbasses at the FCC wouldn't allow it, but this is necessary footage because it shows us all sides of a housemate, not just how CBS wants her to be portrayed.

They should apologise because a lot of peole have watched, it has been on national newspapers even in Britain, what she said is not normal and something has to be done.
