Music these days are more about having a pretty face than talent. Sick of ****ey boybands/girlbands/artists doing really well, when they don't write their own music and have everything handed to them on a plate.

Birdy and Imagine Dragons deserve to be bigger artists than Sam Smith, 1D, and Carly Rae Jepsen.

I know they're all different styles to each other, but I just felt that it had to be said lol.

Aaliyah was more talented when she was 15 than Brandy and Ciara have been throughout their entire careers. And everyone knows Mariah Carey, any artist starting in the industry would sign their lives away to reach her level of fame.

Having said that, the Aaliyah and Timbaland partnership would never have lasted. He has admitted himself that he was in love with her and she doesn't have a great track record mixing love with her mentors (see: R. Kelly, who discovered her, put her on the map, and married her). Something would have went wrong there eventually, but she was talented enough to do it on her own anyway.
