Parents Television Council Slams The Walking Dead Premiere; Pushes to Remove AMC From Cable Bundles
This is hilarious. It's a show about reanimated corpses eating people. |

Why is it that these parenting groups always expect everyone else to parent their kids for them?
Don't want your kids watching TWD? Don't let them and stop expecting the world to pick up your slack. |

Also in the article... one of the guys quoted spouts on about the violence clearly being a replacement for good writing and storytelling, before admitting that he hasn't actually seen the whole episode and only watched clips of the most violent parts . On top of that - they're not even the most graphic scenes that TWD has shown. Is it purely because it's human-on-human violence rather than zombie-on-human that people are so sickened? There's been as much gore plenty of times, when it comes to walkers. I'm trying to put my finger on exactly why people have found these particular scenes so far above others. |

The violence was perfect and a great tribute to the comic book. I'm glad they didn't shy away from it.

Spoiler: Personally I hated Glenn glad hes dead actually cheered when he got whacked ! The episode as a whole though was the usual WD fare it pulls to much these days, 20 ish minutes of content dragged out over 1 hour. The Fall which just wrapped up on bbc 2 did slow burn not much going on but did it properly to raise tension TWD just sometimes drags in a boring not tense way. The whole bit with rick in the bus was weird and boring and totally out of character imo, also tbf Negan could have done much worse considering Rick and his gang mercilessly butchered 20+ of his men for no real reason.

SO... they then sort of ruin that by having Negan take Rick off just the two of them and still dominate him. As soon as it was one-on-one, realistically, Rick had a very good chance of finding a way to take out Negan. Maybe he would fail, but he would certainly try, and it would be a fairly evenly matched situation... why would Negan risk that? |

Really enjoyed the second episode. Much quieter than the premiere but I think that was needed (and I love Carol and Morgan so any episode focusing heavily on those two is bound to me good for me ).
I love Ezekiel and Shiva already I really like Jerry too, he's gonna be good value so I hope we see more of him. Last edited by Lostie!; 01-11-2016 at 12:12 PM. |
