Default What\'s with the \"gate\" added to the end of everything?

"biscuitgate" for example?

When Nikki in BB7 had a tantrum about the beers, they called it Beergate.

When Makosi in BB6 gave all the cyders to the secret garden, they called it The Cydergate Scandal.

I'm not really sure what adding "gate" at the end of the word does.

A Twin-gate. Sam on the left-gate and Amanda on the right-gate. But for them, the gate must never be opened, otherwise they would be separated, ha!

The "gate" thing annoys me too.

As its been stated.. it stems from the Watergate scandal in America when some people bugged a room in the Watergate Hotel .. this ultimately brought down the man at the top.. President Richard Nixon.

There's a great film about this called "All the Presidents men"
