[We would like to apologise for
the inconvenience caused by
a power cut in the Carnaby Street
and Soho area which started
at 5.16pm and is believed to
have been caused by a
piece of equipment developing a fault.
'Our engineers have restored
the majority of power supplies affected.
'We are aiming to get the rest restored
as quickly as is safely possible tonight.'
Power was restored by 9.10pm.
Michael Jackson's Thriller Live
also fell victim to the power cut,
with officials from the show
saying: 'Due to a power outage
in the Soho/Piccadilly area,
we have unfortunately had
to cancel this evening's
performance of Thriller Live. ]
