Remembering Kerry
|
I have never cared for Nuttall, they have some great names in UKIP, Nuttall, Hookem,
I think UKIP is a hard party to lead, they have the same problems as the Lib Dems in many ways, to win seats in the South, they need to appeal to Conservative voters and further North, they then need to appeal to Labour voters. The 2 are incompatible, you cannot have policies that relate to and attract the Southern Conservatives, which will then also pull in Labour votes elsewhere. Equally so vice versa too. Add to that, the fact that to start winning seats on a large scale UKIP would need to be around 30% on the voting and would also need both Labour and the Conservatives to be down on something like 24% each. Under this incredibly ridiculous now electoral system we have in the UK. Across the board, from the UUP,SDLP,Sinn Feinn and Alliance parties in Northern Ireland, on the mainland the SNP,Plaid Cymru,Greens, Lib Dems and Labour, UKIP have really little and even nothing at all for supporters of all those parties. They may have some attractive policies as to the DUP and certainly for Conservative supporters. However voting UKIP will only ensure longer terms of Conservative govt. more than likely. They may grab the odd seat here and there but to talk of being the opposition or having any realistic chance of governing, is a pipedream, under the first past the post system of elections. The one party that certainly will never give UKIP the PR elections that would help it get a decent breakthrough and also others,is the Conservative party. For me, I think and hope, once the leaving of the EU begins, then UKIP will be the party irrelevant in politics and with no change to the electoral system seeming ever likely in the foreseeable future, they likely hopefully will just fizzle out. Yeah alot of rubbish seems to get spouted about UKIP and indeed Paul Nuttall.I think he's the right man for the job.If you ever listen to him on Question Time he's often the one who makes the most sense and sometimes the ONLY one making any sense
![]() I did think that there was no need for UKIP after the referendum but with all these sour remainers who keep trying to throw a spanner in the works of BREXIT it's actually giving UKIP more reason to stay relevant.Infact if these remainers actually did manage to reverse BREXIT then UKIP would get massive support. So it's win win for them really. |

If we learned anything from 2016 its that UKIP are relevant and are important and that the critics were wrong (and still are wrong) to dismiss them in such a nasty bigoted way.

anyone who, by thinking that they are right and in the nmajority, feel able to personally abuse people who do not subscribe to their way of the world and thinking.
"yeah Farage is a moron and anyone who voted for him is a wanker and a racist" "i hope he dies" etc etc |

It also has absolutely nothing to do with "being in the majority" or "feeling in the majority". The second part is correct but, again, attacking someone's views and opinions does not constitute "personally abusing" that person. |

(I'm not calling UKIP racists, but I think at this point its safe to acknowledge that they got the bad rep from some of the racist/homophobic party leaders). I just think the word is a bit of a nothing statement, especially in the context that you've used.

They were relevant in the years leading up to the election too. Joint 10th most relevant in the United Kingdom right now.., so less important than the press they get, but nothing to ignore.
