I think it's fine, like I go to like my local GP and I have private health care and they refer me on if something is needed to be done in most cases.

Like I'm getting a scar removed in January and the GP referred me on to a private specialist. It would have been possible for me to get it done on NHS but the waiting time would be a lot longer and it might not have been possible as it seen as cosmetic.

When I fainted the other year all my tests and scans were done with the NHS.

So yeah, it's possible to switch between the two.

I'm not sure about serious things though, like with my epilepsy it's all done privately, I don't recall using NHS for anything to do with it.
